
Bed and Breakfast Casa Santicchio is situated in Foreste Casentinesi National Park between Camaldoli Hermitage and the Sanctuary of Chiusi della Verna in Arezzo, Tuscany.
Casa Santicchio is a 16th-century stone-made farmstead set in a basin protecting it from the winds, with a south-eastern exposure at 750m above sea level. The estate, covering 21 ha, enjoys a privileged position along the southern border of Foreste Casentinesi with a rich and diverse Flora and Fauna, such as wild boar, many species od deer, hares, porcupines, wolves, eaglesand buzzards.
We are in high CasentinoValley: the place where Arno river springs, in Arezzo, Tuscany.
The house is situated right on the slopes of mont Penna on the Romea road, followed for centuries by innumerable pilgrims, who headed towords Rome, following the path from Camaldoli hermitage to the sanctuary of Chiusi della Verna. Home of Saint Francis where he received his stigmate.

It is the ideal location for trekking and mountain biking.
The beauty of the farm and its surroundings also make it an ideal place for families with children.
The farm is surrounded by woods througt which run numerous streams and waterfalls. From a rock above the house there is a fresh water spring which supplies the house all its domestic needs.
